Under Contract Jacquelyn Ayres

Book: Under Contract
Author: Jacquelyn Ayres
Genre: Erotic Romance/Erotic Humor
Charlotte McKendrick is your typical thirty-something stay-at-home mom. She has three beautiful children, a loving family, special friends, and the most wonderful, adoring husband. Her life is a dream. Er . . . let’s try this again. Charlotte McKendrick is not your typical thirty-something stay-at-home mom. Yes, she’s got three beautiful children, a loving family (all of them lingerers—you’ll see), and her friends are special, all right! As far as her wonderful, adoring husband, what a joke! That bastard abandoned her and the kids six months ago. Now, she will do anything she can to survive and provide for her children. Even if it means signing on the dotted line . . . Mitch Colton is the CEO of Colton Technologies. Most of his year is spent traveling around the world, bringing companies the latest innovations in automobile technology. He doesn’t have time for a traditional relationship and the BS that comes with it. He doesn’t do the “marriage” thing, the “kid” thing, and he certainly doesn’t do the “falling in love” thing. All that said, he still wants someone to come home to. Someone who will offer everything he wants, and nothing he doesn’t. He realizes loyalty paired with these kinds of demands won’t come cheap. No problem. What he doesn’t realize is that once Charlotte McKendrick signs that dotted line, he’ll be paying with a lot more than money.
I am a domestic engineer (born and raised in NJ) whose sole responsibility is to guide three young, impressionable kids into becoming phenomenal adults. This challenging yet rewarding work requires a lot of love (coffee), patience (wine), and determination (periodic exorcisms). I work this magic from the beautiful state of New Hampshire.
Before becoming a domestic goddess (not really), I spent over a decade in the medical field, where I wore more hats than the Queen.
I have loved the written word and the great escape it provides since I was a little girl. When I wasn't reading about people and the places they lived, I was creating my own characters and adventures.
Finding myself again through my writing in The Lost & Found Series, The One, and The GEG Series has been nothing short of a dream come true. Also, it makes people feel better when I laugh randomly or talk to myself, knowing it's my characters and not "the voices" . . . that would be creepy.

This is book one in the GEG Series.
It can be read as a standalone book.
I gave this book 5 fantastic stars!!!!

I have read Jacquelyn's work before and I am a fan.
But, this book was just spectacular !! I loved it!!

We meet Charlotte "Charley" when she is meeting Mitchell "Mitch" for a date. She has 3 kids and her husband basically abandoned her after 10 years of marriage and she has to learn to survive on her own. She will do anything for her kids. Even the thing that she is about to do right now.

Mitchell is tired of doing the dating thing he wants someone to come home to without all the strings, someone who won't complain when they are left alone for months at a time. Someone that will be at his beck and call. That is not going to come cheap and he knows it, but he is willing to pay for it.

Charley needs what Mitch is offering so she can support her family. So when she does sign on the bottom line she doesn't expect to get what she does. It was just a job, but it quickly turns into something else. They both have to look at what they are doing and figure out if they want more. The thing they said they both would never want. Both have been hurt in different ways but have been tainted by love non the less. Can they get over all the past pain? Can they let each other in and give in to something that will be amazing?

I was really scared to read this. I read the words Under Contract and was like not my thing. BUT, I love Jacquelyn's work. So I said sign me up! I was supposed to leave this review yesterday, and was running behind. So I picked it up, the day I was suppose to leave the review, and settled in on my couch. I figured get a couple hours in and then finish it today. Well, that didn't happen. I started it and it never got sat down. I looked down one time and was at 35 percent. I said a few more chapters. One more chapter. One more Paragraph! NO NO NO!!! I looked up and it was 6am !! Yes, I am a gluten for punishment. This book was worth the whole 'I am going to fall over and die of lack of sleep today feeling!' You will not regret reading this. So go and one click it!! It is a book about falling in love when you least expect it. You see someone and you just feel it and you know without a doubt that this is the person you are going to spend the rest of your life with. Even if you fight it and you're scared to death, fate has other plans. SO you buckle up and you go on the ride of your life, and in the end you wonder how you ever lived without this person.

This book is funny, it is sexy, and it will leave you breathless when you read some of the things that these two beautiful souls share with each other.  It broke my heart and made me smile. Jacquelyn did not disappoint. Thank you for your humor and your books!!! I will always read what you write! I have no doubt of that now! <3
