This is Sabine and Remy's story.
On Sabine's 18th birthday she will find out that she is the towns sacrifice for the vampires that live there. Every ten years they give up one of their own to keep the vampires happy and in return the vampires protect their town. The Vampires get to pick from the kids that turn 18 on the year of the choosing. Sabine knows that her time is coming up and although she loathes the idea of being a snack for a vampire she knows that this is something that she has to do. It has been this way for over 200 years.
Remy doesn't want anything to do with this town, and he certainly doesn't want anything to do with Sabine. He is only here because his master has summoned him and he must obey. Remy cannot stand Sabine and once she meets him the feeling is very mutual.
All that is left for Sabine to do is try and run. If she can get away and not be noticed she can start a new life. When she does run Remy is forced to follow her and bring her back to this "boring town". Even though Sabine can't stand the thought of being a slave to the vampire she still finds herself oddly attracted to him and thinking about him all the time. And just the thought of drinking from the same human for the rest of her existence does not make Remy too happy. But he finds himself attracted to her also? What will become of these two? Will they finally face their attraction towards each other or will their hatred and annoyances consume them?
I love paranormal books, I love vampire books. This was a great story and had a great twist. . I was captivated from the beginning and couldn't get through it fast enough. I thought Remy was funny, and I knew he had a heart even before he did. He was a gentleman in disguise.
After all is said and done I got to the end of the book and there was a cliffhanger!! Luckily, book two is out and I was ready to dig right in .. As soon as I caught up on my sleep that I missed because I couldn't put this book down!! Looking forward to reading book two!!! Thank you for a wonderful book full of surprises.

This is book two in the Willow Creek Series.
I would say that you can read this as a stand alone
but there are details about this couple that you would want to get from the first book. So I suggest reading book one first.

This is the continuing story of Sabine and Remy.
Remy finally has the guy. They are finally happy and she is living in the vampire mansion just like she is suppose to. But soon Bastian the head vampire comes to her and tells her that Remy tried to leave. He tried to leave without her. Now he is being punished for what he has done. Bastian keeps him locked up and continues to drain his blood to keep him weak. Why would he do this did he lie to her about loving her? Sabine needs to find out the truth, and when she does will it help her to get Remy out of the prison that he is in? Or are they destined to be separated forever.
This was better then the first book and I was again left with not much sleep. This book is action packed and will keep you on the edge of your seat wondering what is going to happen next. I wondered how the Author was going to get these Characters out of the mess that they were in. I didn't think it was possible. AND again I am left with a cliff hanger! And this time I am not happy!! Book three is not out. It will be out soon. But again I say that it is not out and I want it now!!!
This is a great story that I wouldn't mind reading again. I love vampire stories. And it helps that Remy is one hot vamp too!!! He can take me away in his dreams any night! Thank you for another great book Stephanie !! Please hurry up and get the third one done!!!
