I gave this book 5 stars.

This is book one in the Scarred by Love Series and it is Riley and Zander's story.

First off let me say I love the names. Very unique and very different.

Riley has been in a relationship with a guy for two years and for the first 18 mths she was very happy. But when he drinks he gets way out of hand and he hurts her, and at first it wasn't as bad as it is now. One night she has had enough and he pushes it too far, and she leaves.

After a few weeks she is tired of hiding and decides it's time to get back out there and goes to a party with her best friend Kate and her brother. This is where she meets Zander.

Zander has had some great loss in his life and all he really has is Beth his best friend and her mother. He has lost his mom and his dad isn't worth the dirt on his shoes. When he sees Riley though he knows that he has to get to know her. He feels drawn to her, but when he tries he gets shot down. I mean who can blame her after what she just went through.

Can these two put what has been done to them aside and get to know each other and give it a try. And if they do can they make it with all the damage that has been done to them?

I really liked this book, it was refreshing. I have read so many books with such tragedy I was sitting there waiting for the really bad thing to happen, and yes there is angst in this book, but it is I can still breathe angst if you know what I mean. And sometimes we need that when we are reading. I sure did. Riley and Zander are two beautiful souls that are both searching for more. Something that will complete them and something that will last a life time. They both are looking for something they can call home and be able to relax and live life.

They need someone they can trust and love with their whole hearts.

This is a book that I know you will enjoy. It doesn't have over the top scenarios. It has real life situations that happen to us everyday. You will fall in love with Zander and his beautiful face. He is more then that though he is loving, faithful, and very trust worthy. You will swoon. Follow Riley and Zander's story and learn about trust, love, friendship and HOPE.. There is always hope. <3 Thank you for this beautiful story.. I cannot wait to see where this story goes. I will be following closely.

by C.A. Harms is book 2 in the Scarred by Love Series.
I gave this book 5 stars.

This story is about Kate and Carson.

We first meet them in Scarred by Love.
Kate is Riley's best friend and Carson is her brother.

The author did not disappoint in this book I was pulled in right from the beginning. I loved these two in the first book so I knew this was going to be a story that I enjoyed even more. This is a book that you will not want to put down, make sure you have the time to sit and finish.

Kate is done, she is far along in her pregnancy and she has been doing it alone the whole time. Yes Carson is with her, but he is gone all the time, he hardly ever even comes home at night. She finally gets fed up and packs her stuff up and moves back in with Riley. Carson being gone all night once again comes home to tell her that he is sorry and finds not only her gone but all of her stuff as well. He rushes off to Riley's to beg Kate for forgiveness to tell her that he will be a better man. BUT can Carson live up to his words? Will he fall back into his old ways and disappoint Kate once again?

This book will have your emotions all over the place and you will want to throw your kindle at a couple of places, but CA Harms will not disappoint you. I cannot wait for the next book in this series. Emotions!!! Emotions!!! Emotions!! I wanted to scream, cry and laugh!! Thank you for a hell of a roller coaster ride CA!!!
